"YOUR PERFECT CATCH" started up over 15 years ago when this unique idea came to us at the request from a couple wanting a practical wedding favor to reflect their love for the outdoors and fishing with all their wedding guests.

Together with my husband Peter, who was already making fishing lures to supply several of our local bait shops and fishing resorts, we incorporated our ideas together and designed our first personalized fishing lure wedding favor. This laid the ground work for our home based business "YOUR PERFECT CATCH"

We are located in Thunder Bay, Ontario which is the center of Canada, where many cold winter days and nights are spent in our home hand tying hooks and assembling our lures.

In the beginning, sales were only generated through displays at local wedding shows and gift stores. With the increased popularity of consumers buying on line, the decision was made to focus on the world wide web. Many painful lessons were learned while designing and managing the Etsy store, blogspot and website. With many hours and long nights spent on the computer, the results are slowly “reeling in” with our lures now being sold worldwide.

Since mastering the wedding favor, we are now trying to focus on designing lures for some of life's other special occasions such as retirement, birthdays, Fathers Day and Valentine's Day and gift ideas for hockey coaches, teachers and school bus drivers.

While this fishing lure business is my retirement project, my husband keeps insisting I shouldn't quit my day job ... just yet. So until that day comes, we will continue hand tying lures and expanding label designs to keep our customers "HOOKED"
